Program Allies

Harris County Advocate Program
The Harris County Advocate Program (H-CAP) offers a community-based alternative to placement. The program serves adjudicated offenders whose behavior and social circumstances put them at risk of placement in residential treatment facilities. It offers a range of individualized non-traditional wrap-around and advocacy services for the youth and the entire family. Referrals are taken from probation services and institutions saving placement dollars and leaving youth in their own homes.

Texas Best Residential Youth Facility
Texas Best provides teenage mothers with a nurturing, home-like environment while teaching them to care for themselves and be responsible parents. Referrals are taken from Travis & Montgomery Counties.

Families Under Urban and Social Attack
In 1982, Rev. Leslie Smith had a dream. The dream consisted of him doing life changing work in former crack houses that had been renovated. In the dream, hundreds of adults and children were standing in a never ending line for help with the social issues that were afflicting their lives. These individuals walked in carrying the burden of societal problems that affect families, such as drug abuse, homelessness, and a lack of health insurance, yet these same individuals walked out changed. Today, Rev. Leslie Smith’s dream has turned into a reality, that reality is Families Under Urban & Social Attack, Inc.
