The Call Foundation

 

The Call Foundation is a non-profit community based organization who provides important youth programs to other organizations that deal with at risk youth. The organizational focus is to strengthen children, young adults, families and communities through programs, which involve Celebrity guests, volunteers and program participants from the entire community.  Since June 2006, The Call has done just that and it has been our goal to successfully develop a strong community, Board of Directors, and serve the entire Houston area.

 

History of The Call

Bridgjette Taylor birthed the Call Foundation in February 2006, solely because of her heart for disadvantaged youth.  Being a product of a challenging environment, Bridgjette overcame the struggles of poverty. Growing up in a home where drug abuse was a common occurrence she found it difficult to not dream the impossible dream of making it out of those trying conditions. She beat the odds, graduating from high school and then going on to attend Sam Houston State University. The Call Foundation is apart of the victorious fight to trample over defeat and soar while teaching others to be eagles.

 

Statements From The Team

Bridgjette Taylor: To instill a glimpse of hope, to open the doors to possibility, to engage the imagination of a human being is the beginning of creation.  To inspire a young person to look beyond a limited today and envision a future where they are flourishing satisfies what I like to label a divine Call within myself.

Allegro Adams: My desire is to help parents properly raise their children to go on to reach their fullest potential in life.  The desire of Miss. Taylor lines up with what’s in my heart, and that is why I’m here. At the end of the day after completing something they started, I would like the kids to go on and do the next best thing that’s apart of their destiny.

Sarah Joyner: I grew up around drug dealers, prostitutes, and pimps. The only future I saw then was no future. I got my first felony at 16 and ended up on probation until I was 20. I decided to take control of my life with the help of a woman by the name of Mrs. Collins. Mrs. Collins instilled something in me that I was missing, self respect. My mission now is to spark the brain that will change the world!
